Making its debut at the 2011 Frankfurt International Motor Show, the new Hyundai i30 is now available for customers looking to buy or lease a car in Australia.
The current generation i30 offers a choice of four engines – 1.6-litre GDi, 1.6-litre VGT, 1.8-litre Nu MPI I4 petrol and upgraded 1.6-litre diesel – with a total of six power options, boasting low carbon dioxide emissions below 100 g/km. The new South Korean variant is also available with 1.6-litre Gamma GDi engine and 1.6-litre VGT diesel engine options, and all models have six-speed automatic or manual transmission as standard.
Specifications and range
The Hyundai i30 can be purchased in Active, Elite and Premium configurations, with 16 or 17 inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps and rear spoilers with integrated LEDs, cruise control and rear park assist modes as standard. Keyless entry is also provided with an advanced alarm system and heated outside mirrors prevent condensation from obstructing the driver’s views.
Electronic safety systems include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist System (BAS), and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Traction Control System (TCS). The Active and Elite models feature additional equipment as standard, including dual zone climate control and luxury interior features.
