Aaron Honey, a Police Sergeant – Officer in Charge at WA Police and Director of the WA Police Union, first heard about Fleet Network through the union a couple of years back. While attending conferences, Aaron spoke to the Fleet Network team to discuss salary packaging and learned about the tax benefits of a novated lease.
It was two years later that Aaron contacted Frank from Fleet Network, who helped him with car options and packages that would best suit his needs. The car Aaron wanted was on a waitlist in Perth, but Frank managed to find the same car at a competitive price in Sydney and had it shipped over at no extra cost.
“I didn’t have to do anything!” says Aaron. “I just said what I wanted, what I could pay, and Fleet Network did the rest.”
Aaron’s choice of car was a BMW X5, claiming it’s the best car he has ever driven. He previously owned a series 1 BMW which he loved, but living 9 hours away from Perth, Aaron was looking for something a little bigger that he could easily drive for hours at a time. His favourite feature is the semi-autonomous driving technology.
Now well into his first lease, Aaron has been thrilled with his salary packaging experience, noting the $3,000 surplus he’s saved, and the running costs bundled into one easy payment. “If I need tyres, I can just get them, claim back the costs, and save on tax,” he says. “What’s not to like?”
He continued to express just how amazed he was at the level of customer service received, noting that Fleet Network were honest and upfront if something was looking costly or not recommended for his budget. We asked Aaron if he would recommend Fleet Network after his experience.
“Without hesitation, I won’t go to anyone else. I’m a customer for life!”

Buying a new car is often a significant out of pocket expense. But what if there was a better way?
Feeling the pressure of inflation and rate rises? Here’s how you can save.
